Ah, Woody, you left us too soon!

Woody Curtis, AKA

Hemingway High School Princpal,

AKA, Hemingway mover and shaker,

also affectionately known as "Boss Hogg, here dancing with Mrs. Curtis.

Woody left us last fall for the next great adventure. We will miss you, Woody!

In his memory the cookoff has been named "The Woody Curtis Cookoff."

Beauty Pageant:  The South Carolina Bar-B-Que Shag Festival Pageant will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Hemingway, SC.  Categories are Beauty, Photogenic, and Portfolio (Best Dress, Best Smile and Best Hair are included in beauty fee). The winners will be announced at the festival.

  This is a child-friendly festival
There are lots of things for kids to do at the festival. Past features have included: lots of carnival rides, house of mirrors, petting zoo, climbing wall, air slide and jumping chamber, face painting, dance and hula hoop contests, and more. We never know exactly what will show up this year, but it will be a fun time for children.
